Remote UX/UI Designer (Georgia Time Zone)
Description
Remote UX/UI Designer (Georgia Time Zone)
Shape the Digital Experience—From Concept to Delight
What happens when design truly puts people first? For us, intuitive UX/UI isn’t just about pixel-perfect visuals—it’s about removing barriers, sparking delight, and giving users a reason to come back. If you view every interaction as an opportunity to create clarity, connection, and surprise, this remote role is calling out to you.
Annual Salary: $89,693
Why This Role Matters
Imagine being the creative force behind platforms used by thousands, where your user flows turn confusion into confidence and seamless navigation becomes second nature. Here, your design decisions won’t vanish into a backlog. Instead, you’ll see your prototypes turned into live experiences—ones that drive business outcomes and earn genuine user appreciation.
The Impact You’ll Make
- You’ll delve into user feedback and analytics, uncovering the story behind the numbers to inform your next round of design decisions.
- You’ll turn abstract business goals into journeys that feel personal, intuitive, and—sometimes—joyful for everyone who logs in.
- Every new feature launch will carry your fingerprint, blending research-driven insights with your creative instincts.
Key Responsibilities
- Transform complex problems into straightforward, visually compelling solutions across web and mobile platforms.
- Take ideas from brainstorming sessions through wireframes and high-fidelity prototypes in Figma or Adobe XD.
- Run user tests and distill feedback into actionable improvements—your findings become product priorities, not just notes on a board.
- Partner with engineers and support to launch features that thousands rely on daily. Your close eye on accessibility and consistency ensures no detail is overlooked.
- Lead design reviews that encourage fresh thinking and honest feedback. You help everyone—from junior designers to backend engineers—see the bigger picture.
- Champion the ongoing growth of our design system, ensuring our visual standards remain dynamic and adaptable as new products and features are introduced.
- Adapt quickly to shifting priorities; we move fast, but you’ll always have space to focus intensely when it counts.
What Sets You Apart
- Your portfolios showcase not only beautiful visuals but also clear user journeys—each screen flows seamlessly into the next with purpose.
- You simplify complex ideas—whether it’s sharing design rationale on Zoom or sketching out flows over Slack.
- Your curiosity leads you to ask the questions nobody else thinks of, uncovering needs that shape the roadmap.
- Balancing feedback and vision, you know when to champion a bold new direction and when to iterate based on data.
- You care about the little things—micro-interactions, accessibility standards, and how a color palette feels at 2 am on dark mode.
The Tools You’ll Use
- Figma is your playground, but you’re also fluent in Sketch, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar design software.
- You’re comfortable with user research tools (Maze, Optimal Workshop, Hotjar) and can turn insights into wireframes or clickable prototypes.
- Our remote stack includes Notion, Slack, Zoom, and Jira. You’ll use these daily for feedback, collaboration, and agile workflow management.
- You’re comfortable enough with HTML and CSS to make developer handoff effortless and reduce any friction from concept to code.
Our Approach to Collaboration
- We value clarity, directness, and empathy. Feedback is a two-way street—you’ll get thoughtful critiques, and your voice will shape what comes next.
- Design, engineering, and product aren’t silos. You’ll partner across the org to build unified solutions that solve real problems for real people.
- We work remotely but stay connected. Expect regular design jams, async feedback rounds, and the freedom to block out focus hours whenever you need them.
Who Thrives Here
- Creative problem-solvers who find energy in ambiguity and change.
- Detail-oriented individuals who sweat the small details without losing sight of the big vision.
- Listeners—people who let user stories guide their hand but aren’t afraid to spark debate when the data points somewhere new.
- Designers who want to grow. Here, your learning curve is yours to set, and support is just a Slack ping away.
Qualifications
- 3+ years designing digital products or interfaces for web/mobile.
- Proven portfolio that highlights process, final outcomes, and measurable user impact.
- Experience running user interviews, usability testing, and synthesizing insights to guide product improvements.
- Expertise in Figma or comparable prototyping tools, plus comfort with research and collaboration platforms.
- Basic knowledge of responsive design, accessibility standards, and best practices for front-end handoffs.
- Bachelor’s degree in Design, HCI, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
The Perks
- 100% remote—work from wherever you do your best thinking, as long as you align with Georgia’s core working hours.
- Flexible PTO and a culture that encourages proper work-life balance.
- Regular team design jams, wellness programs, and the freedom to pitch your own projects.
- Resources and mentoring for personal growth—whether you want to dive into animation, product thinking, or accessibility leadership.
- Tech stipend and access to the best design tools on the market.
