Remote Technical Writer (Georgia Based)

Description

Remote Technical Writer (Georgia-based)

Shape Clarity, Drive Innovation, and Make Documentation Sing

Can you translate complex technical concepts into clear, straightforward language? If guiding teams through well-crafted docs sounds like your kind of impact, keep reading. This is your opportunity to leave your mark on resources that enable engineers, designers, and support teams to deliver world-class solutions, while providing end users with the clarity they deserve.

Why This Role Matters

Every product update, workflow change, or feature release is only as good as its documentation. You’ll become the connective tissue between technical vision and user understanding—building bridges, not just writing words. Your documents will expedite onboarding, streamline the customer support process, and empower product teams to move with confidence.

When your documentation solves problems before they start, everyone wins. That’s the level of impact you’ll have.

Your Day-to-Day Impact

• Unpack the details behind new product launches, API changes, or engineering updates, then shape them into clear, actionable documentation.

• Interview engineers and designers so you’re never guessing about technical intent—and use their insights to inform how users experience every workflow.

• Collaborate with product owners to keep documentation accurate as features evolve, knowing that your updates will guide 10,000+ users in real time.

• Transform rough notes, wireframes, and technical diagrams into engaging guides, tutorials, and help articles that reduce user friction and drive adoption.

• Use feedback from support and success teams to spot knowledge gaps and deliver the resources that help users (and colleagues) find answers faster.

• Write, edit, and refine content across web, PDF, and in-app channels—always prioritizing accessibility, readability, and tone.

How You’ll Work

• You’ll thrive in an environment where questions are celebrated and clarity is king. Our documentation is constantly evolving, so your curiosity fuels continuous improvement.

• Expect to partner with engineering, design, support, and QA. Your work isn’t done in a silo; you’ll bring teams together to align around documentation best practices and shared goals.

• Tools of the trade? Think Confluence, Notion, Google Docs, Slack, and Figma. Remote collaboration is second nature here—jump into a Zoom or share feedback in Jira whenever needed.

• We move quickly, but you’ll always have space to focus intensely. Our asynchronous workflows allow you to block out time for complex writing or editing projects without constant interruption.

The Skills and Experience You’ll Bring

• You turn ambiguity into clarity, using both technical knowledge and creative storytelling.

• Experience crafting technical documentation, help content, or user guides—ideally for SaaS, API, or software products.

• You simplify complex ideas—whether it’s over Slack, in live interviews, or through annotated screenshots.

• Strong familiarity with remote collaboration tools, including Confluence, Notion, and Google Workspace. You’re comfortable juggling multiple channels and switching between contexts with ease.

• You care about user outcomes as much as product features. Every document you ship is designed to empower, not overwhelm.

• Detail-obsessed, but you know when to zoom out and prioritize big-picture clarity.

• Bonus: Experience with markdown, GitHub documentation workflows, or light HTML/CSS is a plus, but curiosity and willingness to learn new tools matter more than box-checking.

What Success Looks Like

• Your guides are referenced by new hires and power users alike, making onboarding faster and troubleshooting smoother.

• Product releases happen with fewer support tickets because your documentation anticipates questions and explains the “why,” not just the “how.”

• Teams rely on your work to coordinate launches, refine features, and train colleagues, knowing your documentation is a single source of truth.

• You’re not just writing to ship—your feedback helps shape the product itself. You’ll raise questions, spot inconsistencies, and enable designers or engineers to see through a user’s eyes.

Perks and Flexibility

• Work from anywhere in Georgia—your home office, favorite coffee shop, or wherever you’re most productive.

• Enjoy flexible hours built around trust and outcomes, not timecards.

• Join a culture where your curiosity and drive for clarity are celebrated. Your voice won’t get lost in a crowd.

• Competitive compensation: $77,895 annually, plus potential performance-based bonuses.

• Access to the latest tech stack for documentation and collaboration.

• Opportunities for professional growth, mentorship, and learning from top product minds across the organization.
