Remote Software Engineer (Georgia-Based)

Description

Remote Software Engineer (Georgia-Based)

Ready to Build What Matters?

Have you ever looked at a product and thought, “I could make this better”? Here’s your chance. We’re searching for a software engineer with roots in Georgia—and a passion for remote work—who thrives on transforming complexity into elegant solutions. If you love the idea of building platforms that make life smoother for users everywhere, you’ll find yourself right at home.

Why This Role Is Different

Forget everything you’ve heard about isolated developers coding in the dark. Here, your contributions go beyond code commits. You’ll work shoulder to shoulder with product managers, designers, and support experts—all virtually, but tightly aligned. We move quickly, but you’ll always have space to focus intensely. Your code won’t just go live—it will shape workflows, power remote collaboration tools, and touch the lives of thousands of users every day.

What Impact Looks Like

Picture this: your backend optimization reduces load times for over 20,000 daily users. The new feature you rolled out cuts onboarding time in half for busy teams. And every time someone solves a problem with our product, you’ll know your hands were on the wheel. We trust you to drive meaningful change, not just follow checklists. Here, you’ll own your roadmap and champion outcomes that make our digital products shine.

How You’ll Contribute

  • Architect, develop, and deliver reliable code for features that solve real user problems—think frictionless onboarding, seamless integrations, and a faster workflow for distributed teams.
  • Use your insights from user feedback and analytics to prioritize what matters. Every sprint, your work will guide key decisions and future releases.
  • Collaborate across product, design, and support to ensure every feature is unified, polished, and genuinely helpful.
  • Lead code reviews that don’t just point out bugs—they help teammates level up. You’ll foster a remote culture of learning, respect, and candid feedback.
  • Tackle challenges that scale—from optimizing our cloud infrastructure for global performance to integrating third-party APIs that unlock new capabilities for our users.

The Tools of the Trade

Here’s a taste of what’s in our tech stack:

  • Backend: Node.js, Python, Go (you don’t need to know them all—just be curious and adaptable)
  • Frontend: React (with TypeScript), Next.js, Redux
  • DevOps & Cloud: AWS, Docker, Terraform
  • Workflow: Jira for backlog management, GitHub for version control, and Notion for knowledge sharing
  • Remote Collaboration: Slack, Zoom, Figma—plus any new tools that help us connect and build efficiently from afar

The Work Environment: Remote, But Never Distant

Remote work isn’t just a perk—it’s how we operate. From Georgia to anywhere with WiFi, you’ll partner with a diverse crew that values direct communication, deep focus time, and space for creative problem-solving. We celebrate small wins, share failures openly, and measure success by what we accomplish together.

Expect regular check-ins, not micromanagement. You’ll own your calendar, but you’re never isolated: there’s always a teammate ready to jump into a code pairing session, review a pull request, or hash out ideas over virtual coffee.

What Makes You a Great Fit

  • You’ve shipped production-ready code for platforms or apps used by real users, and you’re proud of the outcomes your work enabled.
  • You break down complex technical concepts into everyday language, whether you’re talking to a designer on Zoom or leaving a comment on Slack.
  • Ownership is second nature. When you spot an issue, you solve it. When you hit a blocker, you reach out and collaborate.
  • You see feedback as an opportunity to grow, and you offer it just as generously.
  • You’re excited by agile workflow, iterative development, and the chance to shape each sprint, not just check off tasks.
  • Georgia-based or deeply familiar with Georgia’s work culture and time zone. You’re ready for remote collaboration, but you understand how to stay connected across screens.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a software engineer (at least 3+ years preferred, but skill and drive matter more than years)
  • Strong command of at least one modern backend and one frontend language or framework
  • Experience managing feature lifecycle from concept to release—roadmap prioritization, sprint planning, and feature delivery
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms, remote workflow tools, and version control systems
  • You care about user experience as much as clean code

The Reward

  • Annual Salary: $124,566
  • 100% remote—flex your schedule for deep work or family time
  • Health, wellness, and growth benefits (details in interview)
  • A chance to shape the direction and culture of a growing remote team
