Remote Senior Frontend Engineer
Description
Remote Senior Frontend Engineer
Can You Turn Complex Interfaces into Effortless Experiences?
Some engineers see a screen. You see a conversation between human and machine—one that should be intuitive, empowering, and even delightful. If you’re driven to make web products more usable for everyone, no matter where you’re working from, we’d love to build with you.
Why This Role Is Different
You’ll have the freedom and the responsibility to set new standards for front-end craft. We’re scaling applications used by tens of thousands globally. Every pixel you ship, every workflow you reimagine, shapes how real people accomplish their tasks. You’ll work in a place where your perspective isn’t just valued—it’s vital.
Imagine pushing a change and seeing immediate impact: onboarding friction drops, customer satisfaction rises, and colleagues celebrate your contribution in a Slack huddle. We trust our Senior Frontend Engineers not only to code but also to lead, coach and continually elevate what’s possible.
Annual Salary: $147,000
What You’ll Drive and Deliver
Shaping User Journeys That Feel Effortless
You’ll create frontend architectures that scale gracefully, empower end-users, and make even the most complex workflows feel like second nature. From optimizing accessibility to driving design system adoption, your fingerprints will be everywhere quality matters.
You’ll shape onboarding workflows that reduce friction for our clients and directly impact activation rates. When a user's needs change, you’ll help us pivot quickly while still building for the long term.
Collaborating to Deliver Real-world Impact
You’ll partner with product, backend, and support teams to launch features 20,000+ users rely on daily. Insights from user interviews and honest feedback will inform your technical decisions, ensuring every solution addresses a genuine need.
Your work doesn’t end at deployment. You’ll measure how your changes land in the wild, refine based on live metrics, and never settle for “good enough.” When something’s broken, you’re not just a troubleshooter—you’re a pattern-spotter and an advocate for doing things right.
Championing Modern Frontend Practices
Modern JavaScript frameworks are your playground—React, Vue, or Svelte, you’re fluent and opinionated. You’ll drive the adoption of TypeScript and ensure clean, maintainable code is the rule, not the exception. Whether it’s automating tests, improving CI pipelines, or speeding up build times, you’re hands-on in pushing our tech stack forward.
You’ll set the pace and tone for what “great” looks like, coaching peers on everything from atomic component patterns to progressive enhancement.
How We Work—And How You’ll Fit In
Distributed by Default, Connected by Choice
You’ll work from wherever you do your best thinking, syncing up with teammates across time zones in live code reviews, async feedback sessions, and focused sprint planning. Our remote collaboration stack includes Notion, Figma, and Zoom—but we’re always open to exploring new tools that enable us to move faster or think bigger.
Here, deep work is respected. You’ll always have space to focus intensely, but your expertise will also be sought out in design jams, roadmap prioritization, and technical architecture discussions.
Outcome-Obsessed, Not Process-Bound
We don’t move fast and break things—we move intentionally, ship incrementally, and learn obsessively. You’ll lead feature lifecycle conversations, guide sprint reviews, and play a key part in product discovery. Expect to influence everything from information architecture to performance profiling and accessibility audits.
We care about inclusive design, not just as a checkbox but as a value. Your work will ensure that users of all abilities can navigate, contribute, and thrive on our platforms.
The Tools You’ll Use
- JavaScript & TypeScript: Advanced fluency required, with the ability to mentor others.
- Frameworks: Deep experience with React (and a plus for Vue or Svelte).
- State Management: Context API, Redux, or other scalable solutions.
- Testing: Jest, Cypress, Playwright—you don’t ship without coverage.
- Design Systems: Figma, Storybook, and a proven track record bringing design tokens to life.
- CI/CD: GitHub Actions, GitLab, or similar—automation is second nature.
- Monitoring: New Relic, Datadog, or similar for keeping tabs on real-world impact.
You’ll manage backlog workflows in Jira while aligning across sprint reviews and roadmap updates.
What Sets You Apart
- You simplify complex ideas—whether it’s over Zoom or Slack.
- You challenge assumptions, spotting UX bottlenecks before users do.
- You’re energized by high-impact launches, but you always pay attention to the details.
- You don’t just follow industry trends—you set them, sharing learnings in team meetings and external communities.
- You value inclusion, making sure every user and colleague feels seen and supported.
Who Will Thrive Here
You love owning outcomes, not just tasks. You bring a creative and problem-solving mindset and aren’t afraid to say “I don’t know” before figuring it out quickly. A growth mindset isn’t just a buzzword for you; it’s how you operate every day. Your career is defined by meaningful impact, whether you’re scaling a design system or launching a brand-new feature from scratch.
