Remote Operations Coordinator Jobs In Los Angeles

Description

Remote Operations Coordinator – Los Angeles (Remote)

Can you turn chaos into calm and ambiguity into clarity? Our clients rely on us to keep the gears turning behind the scenes, and we’re ready to bring on someone who thrives in the sweet spot between structure and speed. This role isn’t about following rules—it’s about refining systems, shaping workflows, and making remote operations seem effortless.

Your Impact Starts Here

You won’t just support operations—you’ll elevate them. From onboarding vendors with precision to streamlining internal processes, your fingerprints will be on every smooth handoff and efficient solution. You’ll work directly with team leads and department heads to ensure nothing falls through the cracks. Every playbook you optimize, every bottleneck you clear, every Slack ping you triage—it all adds up to a company that runs better, faster, and smarter.

What You’ll Drive

  • Shape onboarding workflows that reduce friction for new clients, contractors, and remote hires.
  • Monitor and refine task management systems to keep our distributed teams aligned and on track.
  • Analyze recurring operational blockers and propose genuine solutions—not just temporary fixes.
  • Ensure data integrity across various tools, including Airtable, Notion, and Slack, through seamless integrations.
  • Coordinate between time zones to ensure handoffs never hit a dead end.
  • Support remote event logistics, from virtual all-hands to asynchronous team updates.
  • Track SOP compliance and iteration to ensure documentation remains as dynamic as we are.
  • Collaborate with product, support, and HR to maintain flow between front-stage and backstage operations.

How You’ll Work

We move quickly, but you'll always have space to focus deeply. Our async-first culture respects your time and empowers you to take ownership of your work. Do you need to build a new Airtable base to manage support requests? Great. Think we need a better way to report weekly metrics? Let’s hear it. Your voice matters—especially when it’s backed by thoughtfulness and action.

You’ll be the operational backbone of a remote-first team that believes autonomy and accountability go hand in hand. We won’t micromanage you. We’ll trust you to bring ideas, build systems, and make decisions.

Tools in Your Corner

This isn’t a copy-paste kind of role. You’ll need to feel at home across our remote collaboration tools:

  • Notion: To document, align, and centralize what matters.
  • Slack: For sharp, respectful, and efficient communication.
  • Airtable: To track vendors, tasks, and internal resources.
  • Loom & Zoom: For sharing context and building connections across distances.
  • Asana or ClickUp: Managing priorities and keeping track of dependencies.

You'll also be exposed to light automation tools like Zapier, and you'll play a critical role in supporting our agile workflow by keeping our sprint retrospectives and cross-team alignment rituals efficient.

What Makes You Right for This

  • You simplify complex ideas—whether it's over Zoom or in a Loom.
  • You’ve managed remote collaboration tools and used them to keep teams humming.
  • You’ve built (or rebuilt) systems that made life easier for dozens of people.
  • You balance curiosity and judgment—you ask great questions, but you also know when to act.
  • You’ve worked with distributed teams and understand how asynchronous communication really works.
  • You’re not afraid of detail work, but you’re always thinking a few steps ahead.
  • You bring a mindset of service and stewardship: when things go wrong, you're the calm in the midst of the storm.

You Might Have Experience With...

We don’t care about pedigree. What matters is how you think, how you solve problems, and how you support others. That said, here are some backgrounds that could set you up for success:

  • Remote team operations, especially in startup or high-growth environments.
  • Workflow automation and process design.
  • Project coordination or virtual assistant experience.
  • Vendor onboarding and internal tooling management.
  • Agile operations or sprint planning logistics.

Why This Role Matters

At our core, we're building things that help people. But behind every client success story is a team that operates on solid, flexible, and human-centered principles. You’ll be the connective tissue between departments. When something slips through the cracks, you’ll catch it. When something’s unclear, you’ll rewrite the playbook.

This remote operations coordinator role is essential for keeping our teams aligned, our tools sharp, and our goals in reach. The systems you create will help support better decisions, faster collaboration, and fewer headaches.

A Glimpse at the Day-to-Day

Some days you’ll audit our onboarding processes. Others, you’ll troubleshoot a Zapier flow or jump into a virtual team check-in. You might be knee-deep in a Notion template one morning and prepping documentation for a sprint retrospective that afternoon. Flexibility and curiosity will be your greatest assets.

You won’t do it all alone. You'll partner with design, engineering, HR, and support to build unified solutions. And when something works, you’ll document it—because we believe sharing knowledge is as important as creating it.

Growth and Ownership

There’s room here to evolve this role into whatever suits your superpowers. Whether you're passionate about product operations, people systems, or backend logistics, we'll support you in growing toward your goals. Your ideas won’t just be welcomed—they’ll be expected.

We believe the best coordinators don’t just execute tasks. They spot opportunities, build better pathways, and make things feel seamless even when they aren’t.

Compensation & Location

  • Salary: $78,375/year
  • Location: Fully Remote (Open to Los Angeles-based professionals who prefer flexible scheduling but no office presence required)

Let’s Build Something Smoother Together

If you’re excited to make an impact from day one—not just within your team, but across the entire organization—we’d love to meet you. You’ll help shape how things run, and feel proud of how things run because of you.

Let’s make remote work... work better.
