Remote HR Generalist (Based in GA)

Description

Remote HR Generalist (Based in GA)

Welcome to the Human Side of HR—From Anywhere in Georgia

Have you ever watched someone truly light up on their first day, even though you only met them in a video call? That’s the energy you’ll bring as our Remote HR Generalist. You’re not just coordinating tasks; you’re setting the tone for what it means to belong here, regardless of the miles. Our virtual world runs on trust, small moments of empathy, and a willingness to listen—values you champion with every conversation, from resolving a tense situation to sparking a company-wide wellness challenge. If you believe “remote” can feel personal, you’re exactly who we’re hoping to meet.

The Ripple Effect You’ll Create

  • Reimagine onboarding so every new teammate feels seen, understood, and never left guessing.

  • Dream up new ways to recognize hard work—maybe a virtual shoutout wall or impromptu coffee hours that feel fun.

  • Approach challenges with genuine curiosity, whether you’re untangling a complex conflict or coaching a new manager who’s finding their voice.

  • Treat career growth as an ongoing adventure, helping people spot paths they didn’t know existed.

  • Keep our policies transparent and fair so that people can do their best work without being hindered by bureaucratic obstacles.

  • Use people data to spot trends, not just to report numbers—your insights will drive fundamental changes.

  • Ensure that everyone feels included, regardless of their identity or location.

How Your Work Will Feel

Forget cookie-cutter days. Sometimes you’ll be the calm in a storm, helping someone navigate a tough moment. At other times, you’ll build excitement around a new benefit or initiate a conversation that prompts people to think differently about what “team” means. You’ll translate complicated HR stuff into simple, human language. Slack messages, Zoom check-ins, a quick poll to see how folks are feeling—it’s all in your toolkit. You’ll even help IT smooth out the tech hiccups that can make or break a remote first impression. And when something isn’t working, you’ll be the one to say, “Let’s try a new way.”

Our Virtual Office

We work in the cloud, relying on tools like Gusto, BambooHR, Notion, and (of course) Slack. Most days, you’ll hop between apps, but the focus remains on people, ensuring everyone has what they need and that no one falls through the cracks. You’ll get creative with recognition and problem-solving, utilizing every digital resource to bring people closer together.

What Makes You a Fit

Maybe you’ve been the go-to listener on your team, the person who can turn confusion into clarity. You're familiar with Georgia’s HR landscape and understand what it takes to support a distributed team. You’re great at picking up on what’s not said and thrive when things get a little messy. You’re curious, thoughtful, and you take action when others hesitate. Instead of sticking to a checklist, you ask, “What could make this experience better for everyone?”

  • At least three years in HR, preferably helping remote teams

  • You know your way around Georgia employment law and digital HR practices

  • You connect well with all kinds of people, especially when things get tough

  • Ambiguity doesn’t scare you; it inspires your best thinking

Why This Role is Different

You won’t be a background player here. Your voice matters, and your ideas will shape the way our company supports and celebrates its people. Annual salary? $63,315—but what you build here is worth so much more. If you want to create a workplace where people look forward to Mondays, this is where you’ll do your best work.

Let’s Start a Conversation

If you’re ready to make your mark on a team that’s redefining remote work, let’s talk. Your approach might be the missing piece we need to create something truly remarkable—for our people, for our culture, and for the future we’re building together.
