Remote UX/UI Designer – Washington

Design That Shapes Digital Experiences From Anywhere

Does your creative spark thrive when you see a user finally “get it”? Do you love transforming messy ideas into effortless journeys? Here’s your chance to shape products that matter—from wherever you do your best work. As a Remote UX/UI Designer earning $120,309 annually, you’ll design, test, and refine experiences that serve real users and solve problems at scale. We trust you to bring empathy, ingenuity, and relentless curiosity to every project, whether you’re mapping a new user flow or polishing micro-interactions.

Why This Role Matters

Every feature, screen, and button you touch will impact thousands of users—sometimes in ways you won’t see, but always in ways they’ll feel. You’ll help build products that remove friction, foster engagement, and empower teams across the nation. Instead of being handed a spec and told to “make it pretty,” you’ll own the process: from insight to ideation to interactive prototypes that make people’s days better.

  • 🎨 Craft Products People Love: You’re not just making things look good; you’re solving real challenges for users in the wild.
  • 🔍 User Insights Drive Every Decision: Your research skills turn interviews and usability tests into actionable product changes.
  • 🛠️ Unified Solutions, Real Impact: Partner with engineers and product thinkers to launch features that 50,000+ users count on every day.
  • 🌎 Fully Remote, Truly Connected: Join a team where distance is a strength—our collaboration tools (Figma, Notion, Miro, and more) make working together seamless.

Your Mission & Daily Impact

You’ll drive clarity in every pixel and every process. Your day-to-day might start by mapping a new onboarding journey, move into a sprint review with engineers, then end with rapid prototype testing that uncovers what truly delights—or frustrates—users. Your designs will help people find what they need faster, complete tasks with less effort, and feel confident using new tools.

How you’ll move the needle:

  • Dive into user research—your discoveries steer the roadmap and help the whole team understand what matters most.
  • Shape intuitive navigation and structure, making complex flows feel simple and accessible.
  • Build interactive wireframes and high-fidelity prototypes that let users “feel” the experience before it’s built.
  • Guide visual design, from color systems to iconography, ensuring every detail serves both function and brand.
  • Test, learn, and iterate—your designs evolve with every round of feedback.
  • Simplify feedback from stakeholders into actionable improvements—your communication skills bridge the gaps between vision and execution.
  • Document patterns and design systems so everyone moves faster without reinventing the wheel.

What You Bring

This isn’t just about technical ability—it’s about mindset and motivation. Your background might include agency projects, SaaS products, e-commerce platforms, or something totally different. What matters is your drive to create meaningful, seamless experiences for people you may never meet.

  • 🔗 Human-Centered Thinking: You ask the “why” behind every design choice, always keeping the user front and center.
  • 🎯 End-to-End Ownership: From idea sketches to final delivery, you enjoy guiding the process (and the people) toward the best outcomes.
  • 🤝 Collaboration at Scale: You’re comfortable jumping into a Figma file, leading a virtual whiteboard session, or resolving tough feedback with a positive, solution-first approach.
  • 📊 Research Mindset: Interviews, surveys, A/B tests—you use whatever it takes to uncover insights and measure impact.
  • 💡 Adaptable, Always Learning: When a tool or process changes, you pivot fast and bring the team with you.
  • 🧑‍💻 Fluency in Modern Tools: You’ve shipped work using Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, or similar, and are quick to learn whatever helps the team thrive.

Tools & Environment

Our remote stack is designed for flow, no matter where you’re based. You’ll spend your days collaborating in:

  • Figma (for prototyping and design systems)
  • Notion (for project documentation and process)
  • Miro (for workshops, mapping, and idea jams)
  • Slack and Zoom (for instant feedback and async check-ins)

We move quickly, but you’ll always have space to focus deeply on the craft. Feedback is direct, transparent, and always aimed at building the best product for our users.

Growth, Challenge, and Recognition

Here, growth isn’t just a buzzword—it’s the outcome of every project and every conversation. Whether you’re learning a new prototyping tool, taking on your first full product redesign, or mentoring someone new to remote work, you’ll be stretched and supported in equal measure.

  • 🔄 Continuous Improvement: Weekly design reviews, paired feedback, and regular retros keep your skills sharp and your ideas fresh.
  • 🚀 Your Voice Matters: You’ll influence priorities, shape the roadmap, and see the real-world results of your work in rapid cycles.
  • 🏆 Recognition That Counts: We celebrate outcomes, not just effort—when you solve a tricky UX puzzle or help a team hit a milestone, everyone knows.

What Success Looks Like

You’ll know you’re thriving when:

  • Users report fewer support issues and higher satisfaction after a launch you helped design.
  • Stakeholders trust your instincts and seek your input early in the process.
  • Your design artifacts—flow maps, prototypes, system docs—become team standards.
  • The solutions you craft deliver business impact, measurable improvement, and moments of delight for users.
