What You’ll Drive

Your deep understanding of cloud-native networking will help power resilient, scalable infrastructure. You won’t just maintain AWS environments—you’ll optimize and evolve them. Every subnet, VPC peering connection, and gateway you architect will impact teams working across the globe.

• Create high-availability, secure AWS network topologies that support scalable applications across environments.
• Implement and manage routing policies, NAT gateways, VPC peering, and hybrid connectivity (VPN, Direct Connect)
• Monitor network performance, detect anomalies, and take proactive steps to eliminate bottlenecks.
• Collaborate with engineers and security experts to align network design with best-in-class security practices.
• Harden traffic flows using AWS security groups, NACLs, and transit gateways to reduce risk without slowing performance.
• Analyze current infrastructure and implement improvements that lead to cost optimization and enhanced user experience.
• Guide incident response for network-related outages, ensuring quick, coordinated mitigation with clear communication.

Tools and Technologies You'll Work With

We move quickly, but you’ll always have time to think deeply and improve how we operate. You’ll work with:

• AWS networking services: VPC, Transit Gateway, Direct Connect, Global Accelerator
• Monitoring and observability: CloudWatch, VPC Flow Logs, third-party tools like Datadog
• Configuration management via Terraform or CloudFormation for IaC consistency
• Git-based workflows and CI/CD pipelines to implement infrastructure updates
• Secure VPN and hybrid connectivity solutions

What You Bring

You simplify complexity without oversimplifying it. You’re just as comfortable whiteboarding peer-to-peer architectures as you're writing infrastructure code. Beyond certifications, what sets you apart is your ability to translate network design into business value.

• Proven success designing and optimizing AWS network infrastructures at scale
• A firm grasp of Layer 3 and Layer 4 protocols and their real-world cloud implementations
• Experience with hybrid environments, connecting on-prem networks to AWS securely
• Ability to mentor engineers on best practices in network segmentation and traffic flow
• Familiarity with Zero Trust architectures and secure edge design
• Strong written communication—you make network decisions easy to understand for both technical and non-technical audiences
