Remote AWS Cloud Consultant
Description
Remote AWS Cloud Consultant
Shape Tomorrow’s Cloud Journeys, From Anywhere
Imagine stepping into a consulting role where your strategies don’t just migrate workloads—they unlock possibilities. As a Remote AWS Cloud Consultant, you’ll design, optimize, and reimagine cloud architectures that fuel business growth for startups and enterprises worldwide. It’s not about repeating best practices—it’s about shaping them. If you thrive on challenge and collaboration, and your curiosity runs deeper than “just solving tickets,” this role was built for you—annual salary: $134,220.
Your Impact
Picture a client’s transformation starting with your vision. You’ll architect AWS solutions that do more than scale—they simplify. Clients lean on your expertise to modernize their cloud footprint, automate what holds them back, and turn complex goals into streamlined realities. You’ll guide C-level leaders and hands-on teams alike, ensuring that cloud investments return real business value—whether it’s slashing infrastructure costs, unlocking on-demand analytics, or engineering a new SaaS platform from scratch.
Core Responsibilities
Architect Cloud Solutions That Move the Needle
- Blueprint and implement AWS environments tailored to unique business outcomes, not templates.
- Lead discovery workshops to uncover client needs and opportunities to modernize, automate, and secure critical workloads.
- Advise on and design migration roadmaps, including greenfield builds and complex legacy transitions.
- Enable automation and resilience by leveraging Infrastructure as Code and best-in-class AWS security frameworks.
- Your recommendations on cost optimization, high availability, and regulatory compliance will shape lasting transformation.
Guide Clients with Authority and Empathy
- Translate technical strategy into actionable steps for stakeholders at every level, including engineering, finance, and executive teams.
- Mentor and empower client teams through workshops, documentation, and hands-on sessions.
- Simplify cloud-native concepts—whether it’s in a quick Slack thread or a whiteboard deep dive over Zoom.
- Provide candid advice, championing clients’ success even when it means challenging assumptions or resetting priorities.
Drive Innovation, Not Just Adoption
- Pilot proof-of-concept projects to validate new AWS tools and approaches for high-value use cases.
- Collaborate with remote teams to integrate DevOps pipelines, automate deployments, and adopt serverless where it matters most.
- Lead knowledge-sharing sessions that foster a culture of curiosity, growth, and technical confidence.
- Leverage your expertise in cloud cost analysis, disaster recovery planning, and governance to help clients operate smarter and safer.
Tools & Tech You’ll Shape
- Design with AWS services—EC2, Lambda, RDS, S3, VPC, IAM, and more—to solve real-world business puzzles.
- Utilize automation platforms such as Terraform or AWS CloudFormation to expedite reliable deployments.
- Partner with teams using Git, CI/CD pipelines, and monitoring tools that keep cloud operations transparent and proactive.
- Harness collaboration stacks such as Slack, Zoom, Jira, and Confluence to align efforts and track impact.
The Mindset That Thrives Here
- Curiosity: You chase “why,” not just “how”—always looking for the root cause, the hidden opportunity, the following way to simplify.
- Ownership: You take pride in seeing projects through—from ideation to handoff—with empathy for the humans behind every ticket.
- Communication: You simplify complex ideas—whether it’s over Zoom, in documentation, or on Slack.
- Agility: We move quickly, but you’ll always have space to focus intensely, experiment, and make bold recommendations.
Qualifications That Make You Stand Out
- Experience architecting and supporting AWS environments at scale, including cloud migrations, automation, and cost governance.
- Deep hands-on expertise with AWS core services, Infrastructure as Code, DevOps practices, and cloud security principles.
- Strong consultative skills—your insights guide, challenge, and empower clients at every step.
- Certification (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect or similar) is a plus, but your practical wins, impact stories, and willingness to learn to mean more than just holding a badge.
How Success Is Measured
- Clients hit milestones faster, spend more wisely, and transition from uncertainty to clarity, thanks to your guidance.
- Your work inspires confidence and autonomy in client teams, leaving a lasting legacy of best practices that they own long after your engagement.
- You play a key role in building a supportive, globally connected consulting practice where knowledge flows freely.
Remote Work That’s Actually Connected
Collaboration isn’t just a catchphrase—it’s baked into every project. You’ll partner with design, engineering, and support teams to build unified solutions for organizations worldwide. Whether brainstorming on a whiteboard in Miro or launching new features for users in 15 time zones, your voice matters. Expect honest feedback, deep listening, and a team that’s always in your corner.
Why This Is More Than “Just Another Cloud Role”
This isn’t a checkbox job. Every engagement is a chance to create real business value, accelerate careers (including your own), and push the boundaries of what AWS consulting can deliver. If you’re energized by new challenges, unafraid to experiment, and love seeing your work spark positive change, you’ll find purpose here.
