Key Responsibilities

Legal Advisory and Compliance

• Provide day-to-day legal counsel on corporate matters, commercial transactions, and regulatory issues.
• Advise internal departments on compliance with applicable laws and industry standards.
• Interpret legal risks and offer proactive, business-oriented solutions.

Contract Drafting and Negotiation

• Draft, review, and negotiate a wide variety of commercial agreements, including SaaS, vendor, and partnership contracts.
• Develop templates and best practices to streamline contract management processes.
• Ensure all agreements protect the company's legal and commercial interests while supporting business goals.

Risk Management and Policy Development

• Identify potential legal risks and develop mitigation strategies.
• Collaborate on the development and implementation of internal policies and procedures.
• Conduct internal audits and risk assessments to uphold compliance.

Legal Research and Documentation

• Perform in-depth legal research on evolving regulations, data privacy laws, and employment policies.
• Maintain thorough documentation of legal decisions and correspondence.
• Stay up-to-date on relevant legislation and communicate updates to internal stakeholders.

Collaboration with Leadership and Teams

• Partner closely with executive leadership, HR, finance, product, and engineering teams.
• Support the legal needs of product development cycles with clarity and precision.
• Offer legal guidance during strategic planning sessions and M&A activities.

Required Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
• Active license to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction
• 3+ years of experience in corporate law, preferably with a tech or finance background
• Solid understanding of commercial contract law, intellectual property, and data privacy regulations
• Exceptional ability to articulate complex ideas clearly and confidently, a persuasive yet pragmatic approach
