Remote Social Media Manager (North Carolina Market)
Bring Bold Stories to Life—From Anywhere in North Carolina
Does your creative spark translate into scroll-stopping moments on every feed? If you love shaping the conversations that drive real engagement—and you know how to turn likes into loyal brand advocates—this remote role is the perfect fit for you. Here, your work isn’t just another post in the queue. Every campaign, every reel, every reply will move the needle for audiences across North Carolina, all while you work on your terms.
Annual Salary: $75,874 (Remote, NC Market)
Your Mission
Your mission: energize our digital presence with smart strategy and compelling storytelling. You’ll set the tone for our brand, turning social platforms into communities. From building brand voice to growing follower trust, your choices will create a measurable impact across awareness, traffic, and real customer loyalty.
What Your Day Looks Like
- You’ll craft and schedule content that’s not just relevant, but irresistible, driving genuine conversations and sparking action.
- Each campaign you design is built around analytics, not guesswork. You’ll dive into platform insights, fine-tuning every hashtag and headline until the numbers prove what your instincts already know.
- When trends emerge, you spot them first, then decide whether they’re worth riding or ignoring.
- Your collaborations with our creative, support, and marketing teams are seamless. Whether it’s launching a new product or managing a live event, you’ll align voices across channels, creating a unified brand experience.
- Community management isn’t just “monitoring.” It’s proactive. You respond with empathy and wit, making every interaction feel personal, even when you’re handling a crowd.
- As you analyze engagement data, you’ll transform those insights into action plans, sharing what works (and what doesn’t) with the broader team.
What Sets You Apart
- You’re a natural storyteller who adapts tone, style, and timing based on what the audience actually wants. If you can take a complex product and make it trending on TikTok, you’re already thinking like us.
- Data doesn’t intimidate you—it guides you. You trust analytics to refine your social strategy, from campaign kickoff through results reporting.
- You simplify complex ideas—whether it’s over Zoom or Slack. Your clarity keeps projects moving forward, even when deadlines are tight.
- Your experience goes beyond personal accounts. You’ve managed multi-platform brand profiles—Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter/X /X/X, maybe even threads that didn’t catch on elsewhere.
- You move quickly, but you’ll always have space to focus intensely. Prioritization is second nature.
Skills and Experience
- Proven success managing social accounts for organizations or brands, especially in the North Carolina market.
- Demonstrated expertise in content calendar planning, campaign ideation, and hands-on execution (short-form video, static, stories, carousels, and live events).
- Experience using analytics dashboards (Meta Business Suite, Hootsuite, Buffer, or similar) to inform every decision.
- Comfortable jumping into paid social: you know how to structure, launch, and analyze promoted posts or ad campaigns.
- You’re quick to adopt new platforms, but wise about where the brand invests its time.
- You bring empathy to digital interactions—every message or comment is handled with care and professionalism.
- A track record of collaborating with design, copy, and support teams to deliver integrated campaigns that build audience trust.
- Strong writing skills—punchy, precise, and always tailored for the intended platform and audience.
Tools You’ll Use
- Daily workflow is facilitated by tools like Asana, Notion, or Trello for calendar planning and project tracking.
- Content is scheduled and measured in Hootsuite, Buffer, or native platform tools.
- Video editing basics (CapCut, Canva, or Adobe Express) help you make posts pop—no need to wait for the design team to add text overlays or trim reels.
- Social listening and analytics dashboards keep you informed and on top of things. You’ll know what’s trending before the competition does.
- Remote collaboration tools—Zoom, Slack, Google Workspace—are second nature to you.
What It’s Like to Work Here
- You’ll have the freedom to structure your day for deep focus or jump into a brainstorm with teammates from across North Carolina. It’s remote, but you’re never on an island.
- Performance isn’t about vanity metrics. The work is evaluated on engagement, reach, and—most importantly—the quality of conversations we create with real people.
- Feedback moves fast. When a campaign soars (or stumbles), you’ll get the insights and support to improve and iterate, not just repeat the same playbook.
- You’ll partner with design, support, and marketing to create unified solutions that make a real difference. Your voice matters in every meeting.
What Success Looks Like
- You consistently increase our follower growth and post engagement, not just during big campaigns.
- Brand mentions rise, customer sentiment improves, and the community feels more connected than ever.
- You share clear, actionable reports so every department knows what’s working (and what’s not).
- Creative risks you take pay off with higher reach and a more memorable brand identity.
- The audience views us as the go-to voice in our industry across North Carolina.
