Description
Remote Bookkeeper (Georgia Clients)
Can your financial insights bring clarity to chaos? Ours can—and we're ready to grow with yours.
We're seeking someone who thrives on accuracy, owns the numbers, and knows how to translate spreadsheets into stories. If balancing books is second nature and you find joy in untangling financial puzzles, you might be the missing piece our Georgia-based clients need.
This remote role is more than reconciling accounts. It’s about creating financial clarity so small businesses can thrive without second-guessing their bottom line. You'll be entrusted with keeping the economic engine running smoothly and supported by a collaborative team that values precision and trust.
What You'll Make Happen
- Maintain client accounts in a clean, current, and compliant state across QuickBooks, Xero, or their preferred tools.
- Reconcile bank statements, credit card transactions, and vendor accounts to the penny, weekly and monthly.
- Organize transaction records with precision so clients never have to dig through clutter.
- Prepare financial statements that tell the story behind the numbers, helping clients make informed decisions.
- Manage client payroll and vendor payments while keeping tax deadlines in sharp focus.
- Flag discrepancies before they become problems—you'll be the first line of defense against errors.
- Collaborate with accountants to prep for quarterly filings and year-end closes.
- Onboard new clients with processes that make them feel supported from day one
Every transaction you track and report, you build brings peace of mind to clients juggling growth and compliance. You won’t just "do books"; you’ll get structure in their financial world.
What Success Looks Like
- Within your first month, you’ll take ownership of 4–6 small business accounts across Georgia.
- By month two, your reporting accuracy and timeliness will give clients the confidence to plan investments and manage cash flow with ease.
- Within six months, you'll streamline workflows, reducing manual entry and time-to-close by 30% for at least two clients.
Who You'll Partner With
- Georgia-based small business owners and startups across industries
- Remote team leads and support staff who keep operations and communications flowing smoothly
- CPAs and financial advisors who depend on your clean data to offer strategic guidance
We’re a fully remote-first team, so you’ll collaborate via Slack, Zoom, and Notion. Expect daily async check-ins and weekly strategy calls—you'll always know where the priorities lie.
Tools You’ll Use to Keep Us Sharp
- QuickBooks Online or Xero for bookkeeping and reporting
- Gusto or ADP for managing payroll
- Excel or Google Sheets for custom financial modeling
- Asana or Trello to track client task workflows
- Zoom for virtual client meetings and internal team syncs
You don’t need to be a tech wizard, but having comfort with digital bookkeeping platforms and cloud tools is essential.
What You Bring to the Table
- At least 2 years of experience in remote bookkeeping or accounting support roles
- Confidence managing end-to-end bookkeeping for 3+ clients simultaneously
- You simplify complex ideas—whether it's over Zoom or Slack
- Meticulous attention to detail—you notice the missing decimal before the software does
- Ability to spot patterns, solve discrepancies, and build systems that prevent future slip-ups
- Bonus points if you’ve worked with Georgia-based clients and understand local tax nuances
You’re the kind of person who loves crossing off to-dos, color-coding workflows, and giving clients back hours of mental space every week.
Your Work Environment
- 100% remote—work from anywhere in your quiet, focused space
- Flexible hours with expectations around meeting deadlines, not punching clocks
- Supportive, responsive teammates who trust your judgment and give you space to excel
- Real impact on small businesses that rely on your clarity to make decisions
We move quickly, but you’ll always have space to focus intensely. Our rhythm respects work-life balance and gives you autonomy in achieving your targets.
Compensation
This role is accompanied by an annual salary of $42,703. We believe in paying fairly for skilled financial minds who make growth possible.
