Job Description

Remote Statistical SAS Programmer

Inspire with Impact

Have you ever noticed how one well-written line of code can change the entire direction of a clinical study? Here, that kind of insight is more than welcome—it’s mission-critical. As a Statistical SAS Programmer in our fully remote environment, you’ll do more than crunch numbers: you’ll build models that help scientists, medical teams, and global partners bring life-changing solutions to market with confidence. With every data set you transform and every statistical model you construct, real-world healthcare decisions grow clearer, safer, and brighter.

What You’ll Achieve

From the outset, your expertise will elevate the accuracy and reliability of vital clinical trial data. You’ll develop and optimize advanced SAS programs, preparing clean, reliable datasets that regulatory authorities rely on to approve new treatments. Your analyses will provide actionable insight, shaping protocols and supporting pivotal submissions for global health initiatives. With each new project, you’ll uncover hidden patterns and trends, empowering teams to innovate and strategize with clarity and speed. Your collaborative mindset will enable your work to flow seamlessly alongside biostatisticians, clinical researchers, and data managers—every contribution moving us all closer to transformative outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and execute complex statistical analyses, always striving for clarity and transparency in every result.
  • Develop robust SAS programs for data manipulation, statistical reporting, and safety and efficacy analysis across Phase I-IV studies.
  • Validate results by cross-referencing outputs, reviewing code logic, and proactively troubleshooting discrepancies—ensuring every number is defensible and every process is transparent.
  • Prepare submission-ready datasets by CDISC standards, thereby accelerating the approval of critical therapies worldwide.
  • Interpret outputs with precision, translating intricate statistical findings into actionable recommendations for clinical and regulatory partners.
  • Guide data review meetings and collaborate directly with scientists, project leads, and external partners—your perspective will shape milestones and next steps.
  • Mentor and support team members, raising the bar for excellence and championing the pursuit of data-driven discovery.

The Tools You’ll Use

Expect a dynamic technical stack that rewards curiosity and innovation. Your day-to-day might include:

  • Enterprise-level SAS (Base, Macro, STAT) for everything from dataset creation to complex inferential statistics.
  • Exposure to R or Python for automating workflows and exploratory data analysis—because fresh perspectives come from new tools.
  • Secure, cloud-based platforms to manage, share, and validate deliverables with teams across continents.
  • Advanced reporting solutions, helping sponsors and clinical partners visualize trends, compare arms, and interpret results efficiently.

What Sets You Apart

You approach every statistical challenge like a puzzle, untangling ambiguity with logic and intuition. Data integrity is your north star: nothing slips through the cracks. Whether building a macro to automate tedious processes or troubleshooting a challenging validation issue, you move seamlessly from the big picture to fine detail. When you explain results—over Slack, Zoom, or in a global review—you make even the most complex topics feel accessible and actionable. Your curiosity drives you to master new tools, experiment with emerging methodologies, and push the boundaries of what’s possible with remote data collaboration.

Skills and Experience

  • Advanced proficiency in SAS programming (Base, Macro, STAT), with the agility to adapt to a rapidly evolving clinical landscape.
  • In-depth knowledge of regulatory requirements, such as CDISC, SDTM, and ADaM standards, supporting successful submissions to FDA/EMA.
  • Hands-on experience managing, analyzing, and cleaning large-scale clinical datasets, ensuring completeness and consistency at every step.
  • Solid understanding of statistical modeling, including regression analysis, survival analysis, and longitudinal data techniques.
  • Comfortable integrating with R, Python, or other languages to streamline processes and add analytical firepower.
  • You simplify complex ideas—whether it’s over Zoom or Slack—enabling stakeholders to make informed decisions with confidence.
  • You thrive in a remote setting, partnering with global teams, adapting quickly, and balancing focused individual work with spirited group collaboration.

Your Work Environment

Here, deep work is valued, and collaboration feels effortless. We move quickly, but you’ll always have space to focus intensely, especially when the stakes are high. You’ll partner with design, engineering, and clinical support to build unified solutions that matter. Our tech stack supports remote collaboration at every turn, from secure document sharing to real-time brainstorming sessions. Autonomy is matched by support: whatever you need to excel, we’re here to help you make an impact from anywhere.

You’ll have access to industry-leading tools, a network of passionate peers, and ongoing opportunities for learning and advancement. Your work will shape critical research efforts, advance life-saving therapies, and grow your career in ways that matter.
