Remote Financial Analyst Jobs in Los Angeles

What happens when data meets strategy? For us, it becomes the fuel behind confident decisions, smarter investments, and sustained growth. If you're a numbers-first thinker who sees stories behind spreadsheets, this remote financial analyst role might be exactly where your talent belongs.

You'll Shape Financial Narratives That Drive Vision

This isn’t just number-crunching. It’s about transforming raw data into actionable recommendations that inform executive decisions. Your monthly reports won't just summarize—they'll spotlight what matters, raise the right questions, and guide bold moves across the business.

Whether it's forecasting quarterly performance or identifying new growth drivers, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping our future direction. You’ll translate models into actionable insights and surface financial information that informs product rollouts, hiring plans, and market strategy.

What You’ll Influence

  • Drive forecasting accuracy by partnering with department leads to refine budget inputs and spending assumptions.
  • Build financial models that reveal the “what if”—helping teams evaluate risks and seize opportunities.
  • Develop dashboards and reports that are actually used. Your visualizations will turn finance into a common language.
  • Analyze revenue trends and identify underlying drivers across products, channels, and regions.
  • Present to leadership monthly—not just to inform, but to shape the next quarter.
  • Lead scenario planning exercises that prep us for uncertainty and ensure we're ahead of the curve.

Tools You’ll Use, Insights You’ll Deliver

We believe in giving you the stack to succeed. You’ll operate in a cloud-first environment with tools that power clarity, not confusion.

  • You’ll model in Excel and Google Sheets with advanced formulas, pivot tables, and dynamic charts.
  • Visual reporting? We use Looker and Tableau—your dashboards will reside there, where decisions are made.
  • Financial planning is housed in Adaptive Insights, offering cross-team visibility.
  • Communication is crisp over Zoom and Slack, with documentation tracked in Notion.

Every tool supports your ability to bring alignment and spotlight trends that others miss.

Where You’ll Make the Biggest Impact

Our teams rely on financial context to move fast—but never blindly. That’s where you come in. Your analysis supports the roadmap behind new launches. Your forecasts give hiring plans their guardrails. And your ability to identify inefficiencies means more capital where it counts.

You'll work closely with product managers as they roll out new features, marketing leads as they plan campaign investments, and leadership as they track our long-term runway.

In short, you're not supporting the business. You're steering it.

What Sets You Up for Success

  • You simplify complexity. Whether you’re distilling earnings trends or walking stakeholders through P&L shifts, your clarity is unmatched.
  • You think in systems. Beyond spreadsheets, you connect dots between teams, tools, and timing.
  • You anticipate. We don’t just want last month’s snapshot. We want your pulse on what’s coming.
  • You thrive remotely. With async updates and focused Zooms, you know how to communicate context and stay connected.
  • You care. About accuracy, about impact, and about leaving things better than you found them.

Your Background, Your Edge

This role is built for someone who already speaks the language of financial strategy. Maybe you’ve worked as a senior analyst. Maybe you’ve driven reporting at a startup. What matters most is your ownership mindset and your ability to connect data to decision-making.

  • 3+ years in financial analysis, FP&A, or related roles.
  • Comfort with remote collaboration tools and virtual reporting cycles.
  • Experience building dynamic models and presenting insights to senior leadership.
  • Strong understanding of financial statements, unit economics, and scenario planning.
  • Familiarity with SaaS or digital businesses is a plus, but not required.

The Work Environment

This role is fully remote but deeply connected. We’re based in Los Angeles, but your day-to-day won’t depend on geography. What matters is the rhythm we keep and the clarity we build together.

You’ll attend biweekly financial syncs, monthly cross-functional reviews, and have open access to department leads. We believe in deep focus time, with smart asynchronous workflows—so you can do your best thinking without nonstop pings.

We move quickly, but you’ll always have space to focus deeply. Collaboration is intentional, and deliverables are meaningful. That means fewer meetings and more insight-driven impact.

Why This Role Matters Now

We’re in a growth phase, and the path ahead demands clarity and control. This role ensures that our choices are informed, our budgets are purposeful, and our teams are resourced. It also ensures we don’t miss what the data is trying to tell us.

You won’t just be managing line items. You’ll be helping write the financial narrative of our company.

One Story That Shows Our DNA

In Q1, we faced a decision: double down on a new product line or invest more heavily in customer success. Our analyst didn’t just run numbers—they built a model comparing CAC payback periods, projected LTV, and margin impacts. That clarity helped us choose a direction with confidence. It wasn’t about spreadsheets. It was about strategy.

That’s the kind of contribution we value—and the kind we’re hiring for.

Salary

Annual compensation: $98,138, with performance-based bonuses.
