Virtual Learning and Development Specialist
Location: Remote Salary: $92,000 annually Position Overview: We seek a dynamic and experienced Virtual Learning and Development Specialist to join our team. This remote position requires a professional passionate about creating engaging and effective learning experiences in a virtual environment. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in instructional design, e-learning development, and virtual training facilitation. Key Responsibilities:- Instructional Design and Development:
- Design, develop, and implement virtual learning programs and training materials that align with organizational goals and meet the needs of diverse audiences.
- Create interactive and engaging content using various authoring tools (e.g., Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate) and multimedia elements (e.g., videos, graphics).
- Develop assessments, quizzes, and other evaluation tools to measure learning effectiveness and learner performance.
- Virtual Training Facilitation:
- Deliver live virtual training sessions, webinars, and workshops using Zoom, Microsoft Teams, or similar tools.
- Facilitate interactive discussions and activities that enhance learner engagement and knowledge retention.
- Support learners during sessions, addressing questions and technical issues as needed.
- Learning Management System (LMS) Management:
- Manage and maintain the organizationβs LMS, ensuring that courses are appropriately uploaded, organized, and accessible to learners.
- Monitor learner progress and provide reports on course completion, engagement, and performance.
- Troubleshoot LMS issues and collaborate with technical support teams to resolve problems.
- Needs Analysis and Evaluation:
- Conduct needs assessments to identify learning gaps and training requirements across various departments.
- Analyze feedback from learners and stakeholders to evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and make necessary improvements.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in virtual learning and development to enhance training offerings continuously.
- Collaboration and Communication:
- Work closely with subject matter experts (SMEs) to gather content and ensure the accuracy and relevance of training materials.
- Collaborate with team members and stakeholders to align learning initiatives with organizational objectives.
- Communicate effectively with learners, providing clear instructions and support throughout training.
- Project Management:
- Manage multiple learning and development projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to project timelines and budgets.
- Develop project plans, track progress, and report project status to relevant stakeholders.
- Utilize project management tools and methodologies to ensure efficient and organized execution of training programs.
- Bachelorβs degree in Instructional Design, Education, Human Resources, or a related field. A Masterβs degree is a plus.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in instructional design, e-learning development, and virtual training facilitation.
- Proven expertise in using e-learning authoring tools (e.g., Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate) and virtual training platforms (e.g., Zoom, Microsoft Teams).
- Strong understanding of adult learning principles, instructional design models, and best practices in virtual learning.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present information clearly and engage learners in a virtual setting.
- Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team with a proactive and collaborative approach.
- Certification in instructional design or e-learning development (e.g., Certified Professional in Learning and Performance (CPLP)).
- Experience in creating accessible learning content in compliance with accessibility standards (e.g., WCAG).
- Familiarity with emerging technologies and trends in virtual learning and development.
