Location: Remote Annual Salary: $89,447 Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced and innovative Online Course Developer to join our dynamic team in a remote capacity. The ideal candidate will have a strong educational design and technology background, with a proven track record of creating engaging, interactive, and practical online learning experiences. This role requires a strategic thinker adept at using various tools and methodologies to develop high-quality educational content that meets the needs of diverse learners. Key Responsibilities:

1. Course Design and Development:
   • Develop comprehensive and engaging online courses by creating detailed course outlines, learning objectives, and instructional materials.
   • Utilize instructional design principles to create interactive and multimedia content, including videos, quizzes, simulations, and other educational resources.
   • Apply best practices in online learning to design and structure courses that enhance learner engagement and retention.
2. Content Creation and Management:
   • Collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs) to gather and refine content, ensuring accuracy, relevance, and alignment with course objectives.
   • Create and edit course content, including written materials, audio recordings, and visual assets.
   • Implement content into Learning Management Systems (LMS) and ensure proper functionality and user experience.
3. Quality Assurance and Testing:
   • Conduct thorough testing of courses to identify and resolve technical issues, ensuring smooth delivery and user experience.
   • Review and revise course materials based on feedback from learners and stakeholders to continually improve course quality.
   • Monitor and analyze course performance metrics to assess learner progress and identify areas for enhancement.
4. Project Management:
   • Manage multiple course development projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to project timelines and milestones.
   • Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including instructional designers, graphic designers, and developers, to ensure cohesive project execution.
   • To relevant stakeholders, provide regular updates on project status, risks, and challenges.
5. Learner Support and Engagement:
   • Develop strategies to engage and support learners throughout their online learning journey, including creating support materials and resources.
   • Address learner inquiries and assist in ensuring a positive and productive learning experience.
   • Collect and analyze learner feedback to inform future course improvements and enhance overall learner satisfaction.
6. Research and Innovation:
   • Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, online education, and instructional design best practices.
   • Explore and integrate new tools and techniques to enhance course development processes and learner outcomes.
   • Participate in professional development opportunities to continually advance skills and knowledge in online course development.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Education, Educational Technology, or a related field. A Master’s degree is preferred.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in online course development, instructional design, or a related role.
• Proven experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and e-learning authoring tools (e.g., Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate, Camtasia).
• Strong understanding of instructional design models and methodologies, such as ADDIE or SAM.
• Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts clearly and engagingly.
• Proficiency in multimedia production, including video editing and graphic design, is highly desirable.
• Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote job, demonstrating self-motivation and accountability.
