🎯 Responsibilities
🔹 Cloud Infrastructure Design
- Architect, deploy, and manage networking components across AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform
- Design hybrid networks that integrate with on-premise environments
- Implement fault-tolerant solutions to ensure maximum uptime and availability
- Develop and apply disaster recovery and failover strategies for mission-critical systems
🔹 Network Security Management
- Design and enforce zero-trust network policies across all environments
- Manage firewall rules, VPN gateways, and secure tunneling across regions
- Conduct periodic vulnerability scans, threat modeling, and compliance testing
- Stay informed on security trends, threats, and best practices to maintain a proactive defense
🔹 Performance Optimization
- Monitor network latency, bandwidth usage, and error rates using advanced analytics tools
- Diagnose and resolve connectivity bottlenecks using tools like Wireshark, NetFlow, or VPC flow logs
- Implement automation through scripting and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) to reduce latency and increase reliability
🔹 Collaboration & Documentation
- Collaborate cross-functionally with development, infrastructure, and cybersecurity teams
- Serve as a technical advisor during cloud migrations and re-architecting initiatives
- Maintain accurate and detailed network architecture diagrams, topology documents, and configuration records
- Contribute to documentation for operational processes and troubleshooting guides
🔹 Support & Maintenance
- Act as a Tier 3 escalation point for network-related incidents
- Establish and maintain automated monitoring, alerting, and self-healing procedures
- Perform routine audits of systems and services to ensure performance and compliance with SLAs
- Review and test business continuity plans and backup configurations regularly
✅ Required Skills and Experience
🟢 Education & Background
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Network Engineering, or related technical discipline
- At least five years of hands-on networking practice, including a minimum of three years with cloud-based infrastructures
🟢 Technical Expertise
- Expertise in AWS networking services (VPC, Transit Gateway, Direct Connect), Azure VNets, or GCP Cloud VPN
- Solid understanding of core networking protocols, including TCP/IP, BGP, DNS, DHCP, and SSL/TLS
- Experience with routing, NAT, subnetting, and network segmentation
- Proficiency in automation tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible for network provisioning
- Familiarity with container networking in Kubernetes (CNI plugins, service meshes)
- Skilled in using monitoring platforms such as Datadog, Prometheus, or CloudWatch for performance tracking
